Another round of sobriety checkpoints in East Tennessee are expected this month. Troopers will be set up at various locations making sure people aren’t driving under the influence.
Only two checkpoints will be set up in Knox County on the following days:
- February 2 – S.R. 33 (Maryville Pike) @ Mt. Olive Church
- February 16 – Cherokee Trail @ Cherokee Bluff Dr.
The other locations in East TN will be:
- February 16 – Monroe – SR 322 @ SR 72
- February 23 – Campbell – US 25 W @ Tennessee Avenue/Lobortini Bridge
- February 24 – Roane – US Hwy 27 @ US Hwy 70 (Glen Hills)
While it isn’t listed, you know cops will also be in full force on the day of the Super Bowl (February 11) so if you’re going to be drinking, make sure you have a safe way of getting to and/or from your destination.
