With the holidays approaching, tons of retailers are looking for extra work to meet the demand, and that includes Amazon.
The retail giant plans on hiring 250,000 people across the U.S. this year in full, part-time, and seasonal positions. Not only that, they plan on increasing wages for employees bringing the average pay for an Amazon employee to $20.50/hour. In addition, a benefits package is available the day you start.
This means plenty of jobs are available in Tennessee as well. 7,600 positions are to be filled in the state alone. There’s even a hiring event this Friday, September 22nd for warehouse workers at the new fulfillment center in Alcoa. The hiring event will take place at Alcoa Knoxville Airport from 8a-6p.
