It’s been months since Megan thee Stallion was shot in the foot, allegedly by Tory Lanez, back in July today Lanez was officially charged with felony assault in the incident. The whole situation was weird with people first thinking they were both arrested, before it was found out that Megan had surgery and she alleged that Tory was the one who shot her. Since then he has denied it, come out with an album (that flopped) telling his side of the story, while she kept with her story saying that he was the one that pulled the trigger and also her fans created a petition to have him deported.
The Los Angeles District Attorney’s office released the following statement:
The rap artist known as Tory Lanez has been charged with assaulting a female friend in the Hollywood Hills earlier this year. Daystar Peterson aka Tory Lanez (dob 7/27/92) was charged today in case BA490599 with one felony count each of assault with a semiautomatic firearm – personal use of a firearm – and carrying a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle. The defendant also faces a gun allegation and that he personally inflicted great bodily injury.
It will be interesting to see how this case plays out.
