Come this fall, students at the University of Tennessee will be able to enroll a class that’ll be focused on Taylor Swift and her successful career.

The Daily Beacon, UT’s student newspaper, reports that cinema studies professor, Darcey Morris, is the one behind the class, which will be held on Monday’s and Wednesday’s.

We’ll talk about Taylor Swift from every possible angle.

The class is called “Gender/Media (Taylor’s Version)” and students will not only watch Taylor’s music videos, concerts, and films but they will dive into how she’s made a cultural and economic impact across the globe.

…they will also analyze and learn about her business decisions, lyrical texts, aesthetics and public persona.

In addition, the ethics of music industry will be analyzed, marketing and promotions, social media strategies, along with race, sexuality, and feminism.

Morris says this class isn’t just for those in a media or cinema major; anyone in any field will benefit from this class.

Whether students want to be accountants or filmmakers — Swift’s career encompasses it all, and there is much to learn for Swifties and non-Switfies alike.

Taylor Swift just released her latest album, The Tortured Poet’s Department, which has already broken Spotify records — it became the first album on the platform’s history to go over 300M streams in one day. Her song “Fortnight” with Post Malone also was the most streamed song in a single day. It was also the most streamed album on its first day on Amazon Music (via NBC News).
