Diddy has just found himself in serious legal trouble.
His ex-girlfriend, Cassie, has filed a lawsuit against him for sexual assault and sex trafficking. Court documents were obtained by USA Today on Thursday.
The lawsuit has disturbing claims that she says went on for years, including physical abuse. She mentions of an event that happened in 2018 where Diddly allegedly broke into her home and forced sex on her.
Cassie said in a statement,
After years in silence and darkness, I am finally ready to tell my story, and to speak up on behalf of myself and for the benefit of other women who face violence and abuse in their relationships.
She is filing a lawsuit now because the New York’s Adult Survivors Act is about to expire.
Cassie, whose real name is Cassandra Ventura, got into a romantic relationship with Diddy when she was only 19 and he was 37 at the time. The filing says that throughout their decade-long relationship, he asserted complete control over her life.
She is also suing his companies including Bad Boy Entertainment.
A statement was made to USA Today on behalf of Diddy denying all of his ex’s claims stating they are “offensive and outrageous.” He accuses her of looking for a pay day.
