The Idol Viewers Skip ‘Nasty’ Scene For Being ‘Too Hard To Watch’
Since the beginning of HBO’s “The Idol” there has been controversy, and that was before it aired on the network. Now that viewers get a front-row seat to the show each week, they call some scenes “too hard to watch.” In it, a fully clothed Tedros (Abel Tesfaye) commands a naked and blindfolded Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp) to indulge his sexual desires as he swoons over her from a distance. While many saw The Weeknd in a new light, others condemned his acting skills. “The Idol would be so good if it wasn’t for the weekend he just ruins it, lmao,” one person tweeted. Depp fired back at some critics before the debut of “The Idol,” saying, “I think it’s interesting that people have so much to say about the show already, and they haven’t even seen it,” she told reporters at Cannes Film Festival, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
