Amazon MGM Studios teased its upcoming thriller After the Hunt, starring Julia Roberts. Roberts portrays a professor caught in the middle of a #MeToo scandal in the trailer for Luca Guadagnino‘s upcoming psychological drama, which also stars Ayo Edebiri and Andrew Garfield.
The first trailer released for the film shows Roberts as Alma, an acclaimed college professor seemingly at the pinnacle of her career. According to its synopsis, “After the Hunt” follows a college professor (Roberts) who “finds herself at a personal and professional crossroad when a star student (Edebiri) levels an accusation against one of her colleagues (Garfield), threatening to expose a dark secret from her own past.” Written by Nora Garrett, the film also features Michael Stuhlbarg and Chloë Sevigny.
Amazon MGM later released another trailer and character posters for After the Hunt, which begins with a quote from Anais Nin: “We don’t see things as they are. We see them as we are.”
“After the Hunt” premieres in theaters in New York and L.A. on Oct. 10, and expands across the country Oct. 17; check out the second trailer for the film: HERE.
