One of the great things about going to Downtown Knoxville is that nights and weekends are free to park, however the city is considering changing that. Back in September, the city hired an outside party to analyze the parking downtown and make recommendations; leaving the future of free nights and weekends up in the air.
The Downtown Merchants Group created an online survey for people to take that way they can share the feedback with city officials before they make any final decisions. The hope is that the Downtown Merchants Group can work with the city to come up with a strategic plan that would work for the community and businesses.
Paying for parking would not only be frustrating as patrons but could have a negative impact on the local businesses. Take the survey at the link below and voice your opinion!
