Can you believe for anyone who lives in Sevierville or the surrounding area has to travel about 40 minutes to the closest Target store?! There are five in Knoxville and one in Maryville but soon the Smokies will have their very own.
According to Target’s website the new store will be located at 830 Winfield Dunn Pkwy and will be about 147,000 sq. feet. The typical store, on average, is about 125,000 sq. feet so this new store will ensure that residents and visitors will be able to get all the essentials (plus more) at this new location. WATE reports that this is part of the retailer’s imitative to expand to tourist-heavy areas.
A grand opening date has not been announced yet.
