Shopping at Costco is always an experience but part of that experience (other than free samples) is stopping at the food court for a snack to get you ready for your shopping journey or grabbing a bite after you’ve built up an appetite.
Personally, any time I go to Costco, it’s a tradition for me to get a churro while I walk around looking at items I don’t need. It makes the whole experience much more enjoyable. However, the big box store has quietly removed the sweet treat off their menus. Instead they’ve replaced it with a big double chocolate chip cookie. While I love cookies, you can get a cookie anywhere, which is not the case for a churro. Plus, the churro was not only delicious but it only cost $1.49 where as the cookie will set you back $2.49 and has a whopping 750 calories compared to the 570 in a churro.

Churros have been a beloved staple at Costco food courts for years, with their crispy exterior and soft, doughy interior being a favorite treat for many; so it’s no surprise that has left people across social media upset and disappointed in the retailer for making such an outrageous decision without consulting us first.
