Disney May Leave the Door Open for Johnny Depp’s Return
Many think Disney may be having a change of heart when it comes to Johnny Depp returning to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. After Depp’s issues, Disney film production chief Sean Bailey was asked if, despite Depp’s drama, he was asked if doing a reboot without him would be possible. At the time, Bailey said, “We want to bring a new energy and vitality.” Recently, the original screenwriter Stuart Beattie was asked to confirm Depp’s return for the reboot, and his answer gave fans a bit of hope. “Noncommital at this point,” said Beattie, who had a different answer in 2018.
