Betty White: 100 Years Young producers confirmed in a statement that the film will still air on January 17th, which would have been her 100th birthday. Steve Boettcher and Mike Trinklein said they hope that the film will allow those who loved her to commemorate her life. The Golden Girls star died on New Year’s Eve, just weeks before her 100th birthday, at the age of 99.

White had the longest-running television career of any woman. Her debut appearance on screen was in 1939, and she went on to star in eight different shows throughout her career. White played Rose Nylund in The Golden Girls from 1985 through 1992. Her radio career began in the 1940s, and she rose to fame as a result.
