Louisiana Police Use Siren From ‘Purge’
Louisiana is making headlines after the city of Crowley used an interesting method to alert it’s citizen. Just last week they established a coronavirus curfew and law enforcement claims they needed a siren than could easily differentiated from the identifiable sound of a police car. That siren just so happen to be the siren from the horror film The Purge!
The Purge siren signaled the beginning of a horrible national holiday instituted by the government where all crimes were allowed for 12 hours.

Crowley Police Department chief Jimmy Broussard took the blame, saying he was unaware of the siren’s close association to The Purge, and now plans on ditching the alarm idea altogether.
The Acadia Parish Sheriff’s office has also commented.
Well, at least it wasn’t blaring Dueling Banjos over the PA system
