United Airlines is already, deservedly, catching heat for a dog passing away in the overhead bin of one of their flights yesterday, and they are sure to catch some more over this story. A family flying from Oregon to Kansas City got a not so pleasant surprise when they were greeted by a Greyhound instead of their German Shepherd at the airport in Kansas City.
The family was later told that their Greyhound was instead in Japan, where the German Shepherd was supposed to fly. United's spokesman Jonathan Guerin said the following "an error occurred during connections in Denver for two pets sent to the wrong destinations." He added "we have notified our customers that their pets have arrived safely and will arrange to return the pets to them as soon as possible."
Thankfully this didn't end like the previous incident did, but it sucks that they were so careless with people's pets. If you own a pet, would you fly United with it? Hit me on Twitter and let me know!
