This new roller coaster will have you reaching new heights and experiencing exciting (or terrifying) thrills!
Six Flags announced they plan on opening a new roller coaster at one of their parks which will make it the fastest, tallest, and longest in the world. The coaster, called Falcon’s Flight, will be 640 feet tall and reach top speeds of 156 miles per hour. Just to give you perspective, that’s more than half the heights of the Empire State Building.
The ride will hold 14 people and each car has a windshield to protect riders.
If you think you’re brave enough to ride this coaster, you’ll have to get your passport out because it’ll be located in Saudi Arabia.
If you don’t see yourself taking a trip to the Middle East any time soon, you’ll have a much easier commute to New Jersey where the current record-breaking coaster is, which also belongs to Six Flags. According to the theme park’s website, it is the tallest in the world (456 feet) and fastest in the U.S. (128mph). This should be easy to conquer compared to the new Falcon’s Flight.
Japan is home to the longest coaster. Steel Dragon 2000 sits on a 8,000-ft. track; while this new one will put it to shame at 13,000-ft.
Falcon’s Flight is expected to open in October 2024.
