A bottle of Scotch that is said to be the “most sought after” in the world just sold for $2.7 million.
This is a record-breaking amount for any wine or spirit, making it the most expensive bottle in the world.
The Macallan Adami 1926 sold at an auction house in London after a bidding war between two people. The scotch is from 1926 and was aged in sherry casks for 60 years. When it was bottled, in 1986, only 40 were made. According to ABC News, 12 of the bottles [including the one just sold] had labels designed by famous Italian painter, Valerio Adami.
