Remember back in the day if you checked a book out from the library you had to remember to return it otherwise you would’ve been hit with a fine? Well, it’s a good thing this Colorado library got rid of fees otherwise this person would’ve owed a lot of money.
Riverside Library in Evans, Colorado is going viral for a book that was just returned to them… almost 37 years later! The book was supposed to be returned on May 30, 1987… before a lot of us were even born.
Workers are unsure who returned the book but they got a kick out of a note that was left with it which read,
Sorry so late, it’s been a long strange trip
What makes this note so great is the title of the book: Psychedelics
If the library were still charging late fees the amount would’ve cost this mystery reader $1,300.
