If you have a live Christmas tree, first off, you’ve gotten the Hallmark seal of approval. Secondly, instead of tossing it you can recycle it for free in Knox County through their Tree Recycling program
From Tuesday, January 2nd through Tuesday, January 30th you can drop off your tree to any Knox County Convenience Center at the following locations:
- Carter Convenience Center – 8815 Asheville Highway
- Dutchtown Convenience Center – 10618 Dutchtown Road
- Halls Convenience Center – 3608 Neal Drive
- John Sevier Convenience Center – 1950 West John Sevier Highway
- Karns Convenience Center – 6930 Karns Crossing Lane
- Powell Convenience Center – 7311 Morton View Lane
- Tazewell Pike Convenience Center – 7201 Tazewell Pike
The convenience centers are closed Wednesday’s, Sunday’s, and holidays.
Make sure your tree is clear of strings, lights, and any other decor.
