The pandemic put a big damper on movie theaters and changed viewing habits. Lots of movie premieres had to be delayed or had to go straight to streaming. To make up for it, Disney and Pixar announced they will be be putting three of their films in theaters for the first time.
Soul, Luca and Turning Red, which debuted on Disney+ will get a theater run in 2024.
Soul, a film about a middle-school band teacher transported to the “Great Before,” will be released in theaters on January 12. Turning Red, a story of a teen who turns into a red panda, will debut on February 9. Luca, the story of a sea monster, will debut on March 22.
