Autographed Michael Jordan Shoes Sell For Record $2.23M At Auction

A pair of autographed shoes worn by Michael Jordan in the 1998 NBA Finals has sold for a whopping $2.23 million – making them the most expensive shoes in history. The shoes – Air Jordan 13 Breds – were worn by Jordan in the second half of Game 2 of the Finals, which the Chicago Bulls won 93-88, according to auction house Sotheby’s New York. Jordan was responsible for 37 of those points, earning him the Finals’ MVP award. The sale price easily beats the amount of money made on the last pair of Jordan shoes to hit the auction block, Nike Air Ships. They sold for $1.4 million in October 2021.
