Lil Wayne Says Roc-A-Fella “Best Competition” For Young Money In A Verzuz Battle
Lil Wayne seems to have given some thought to a Verzuz battle. The New Orleans native says the Roc-A-Fella group would make for the perfect foes if his Young Money Records collective ever participated in a Verzuz battle. Marcellus Wiley asked Wayne on his More To It podcast who would “give the people what they want?” The ex-NFLer suggested No Limit, Death Row, Bad Boy, and Quality Control as opponents. Wayne, however, felt Roc-A-Fella would be the best competition. Wayne also mentioned that JAY-Z is “the G.O.A.T,” at one point, JAY-Z had tried to get Lil Wayne on his Roc-A-Fella roster. In an interview with The Breakfast Club, JAY-Z said after talking with Baby about possibly signing Wayne, he received a letter citing, ‘tortious interference,'” which ended the talks.
