Jamie Foxx has done a lot of his time in entertainment, but there is one thing that he’s looking to do that’s pretty interesting. The actor/singer wants to remake a Stephen King movie, but this time with a Black lead.
Misery is one of King’s most popular books. With a first printing of 900,000 copies, it was the fourth-most-popular hardcover book of 1987, and by 1990 it had sold 875,000 copies, making it the 15th most popular book of the decade
I just rewrote Misery, Foxx revealed in an interview. If you recall, Misery was the tale about what happened when a crazed fan took her favorite author hostage. The film was released in the United States on November 30, 1990, by Columbia Pictures. It received highly positive reviews and was a box office success, grossing $63 million
