A New York jury has officially found R. Kelly guilty on all counts of Racketeering and Sex trafficking, Kelly was charged with nine counts in this federal case in the Eastern District of New York, including one count of racketeering with 14 underlying acts including sexual exploitation of a child, kidnapping, bribery, and sex trafficking, as well as eight counts of violations of the Mann Act, a sex trafficking law. The jury, which was made up of seven women and five men started deliberating on Friday and reached their verdict today.
Today’s guilty verdict comes 13 years after Kelly was acquitted in a child pornography case in his home state of Illinois. Kelly will be sentenced on May 4, 2022.
