Drake Releases New Mixtape ‘Dark Lane Demo Tapes
Hello Friday and Hello DRAKE MUSIC! It’s no secret that I’m a huge Drake fan and when I woke up this morning with the new Drake Mixtape in my e-mail, his first since 2017’s “More Life” and I’ve been listening to it non-stop, I’m actually bumping it right now as I write this blog and I’m digging it! Some of the songs were leaked weeks ago, but today we get the official mixtape in all it’s glory, and also the news that Drake plans on dropping his 6th studio album this summer, the project will mark Drake’s first studio album since 2018’s Scorpion.
Drake’s first official single from the Mixtape ‘Toosie Slide’ has its own TikTok dance, and has raked in donations for the The Masaka Kids charity – around $30,000.
“Toosie Slide” is also dominating the charts. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, earning Drake his seventh No. 1 on the chart. Drake became the first male artist to have three No. 1 debuts on the Hot 100. He joins Mariah Carey, who achieved three No. 1 debuts on the Hot 100 from 1995-1997.
