A few weeks back a Tiger at the Bronx Zoo became the first animal on record to test positive for the coronavirus, after one of the handlers was an asymptomatic carrier, now a pug in North Carolina has become the first dog, on record, to test positive for the virus. The family pet was tested as part of a study at Duke, after his family tested positive for the virus, the family said the pug was coughing and sneezing and wouldn’t eat which was unusual.
The pug has made a full recovery, and the CDC says that animal to human transmission is low, so if your pet conracts the virus, you don’t have much to worry about.
