We’ve been impatiently waiting on Rihanna’s new album, rumored to be named R8, since her 2016 album, ANTI, was released. Rihanna is on the cover of the upcoming edition of British Vogue, and she says that she’s “aggressively” working on new music and joked that it might be out before we know it:
“I can’t say when I’m going to drop,” she says (it could even be out by the time you read this). “But I am very aggressively working on music,” she adds, coyly.
She also talked about the sound of the album that she doesn’t want to pigeon hole:
“I don’t want my albums to feel like themes,” she says, taking a sip of wine. “There are no rules. There’s no format. There’s just good music, and if I feel it, I’m putting it out.”
The magazine is out on April 3rd, so I think it’s safe to say the album won’t be by that time, if you are in the mood to hear her on something new to hold you over, she’s featured on the new PARTYNEXTDOOR single, “Believe”
