With the popularity of the Netflix show 13 Reasons Why, and some events that have happened locally we decided to talk about suicide prevention again on Real Talk tonight, if you missed our show on the topic from October you can check it out here.
Tonight in studio we once again had Amy Dolinky and Anne Young from the Tennessee Suicide Prevention Network in studio to take calls from listeners and provide their expertise on the subject. We also had Catherine Miller, a student at Farragut High School, who started a petition to get suicide awareness into the curriculum at her school.

We also heard from Clark Flatt who started the Jason Foundation, after his son Jason committed suicide back in 1997, and former University of Tennessee Head Coach Phillip Fulmer who is an advocate for the Jason Foundation.
We also heard from rapper Logic who’s new song 1-800-273-8225 (the phone number to the suicide prevention line) and is all about suicide prevention is making an impact.
