Tonight on Real Talk with Mean Jean, we looked back at the past year to reflect on whether our community has come together to become safer. We looked at crime stats, community involvement and jobs with Chief Rausch and Andre Canty in studio and also heard from Terri Walker Smith who runs Mothers of Missions and the Knoxville chapter of Mothers in Charge. We also heard from Doug Kose, CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Tennessee and Stan Johnson with SEEED Knoxville.

Big Brother’s Big Sister’s of East Tennessee is located 318 Gay St. Suite 100 or call them at (865) 523-2179. They’re trying to get 100 mentors in 100 days starting May 1st if you know someone who would be a good mentor for a child reach out!

We’ve gotta get to these kids before the wrong people do, get plugged in and make a difference!
